2022 Sustainable Workforce Survey

Thank you for taking part in ACEM’s Emergency Medicine Sustainable Workforce Survey!

ACEM is committed to creating and supporting a workforce of engaged emergency medicine doctors. A workforce that has:
  • a healthy work-life balance;
  • minimal risk of burnout or early career change;
  • good physical and mental health; and
  • supportive employers who prioritise physician welfare.

We want your career in emergency medicine to be enjoyable and rewarding. To help us accomplish this we will be distributing a biennial survey to measure key areas of wellbeing. The data collected from this survey will enable ACEM to prioritise support and undertake advocacy activities that contribute to the wellbeing of doctors and other health professionals delivering emergency medical care in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand.

The Survey
This survey will take around 30-40 minutes and will ask you questions related to your:
  • Work
  • Job satisfaction
  • Work-life balance
  • Personal support mechanisms
  • Workplace stressors, bullying, discrimination and harassment within emergency medicine

All responses are collected anonymously and individual responses will remain confidential. At any time during the survey you can click "Save Page and Continue Later" (located at the bottom of the page) which will save your responses for you to finish the survey at a more convenient time. Please do not click 'Exit survey' (located at the top of the page). All data will be de-identified and reported on in the aggregate. Please refer to ACEM’s privacy statement for more information.
